Hi Everyone,

I am already a member of this Group both on Lib Dem ACT and as a Party Member at Federal level.

Do any of you think that we should be encouraging women of all Parties and of none to stand for Parliament (Westminster or Scottish)?

Although I am not Labour, I would like to see Diane Abbott selected as the Leader of the Labour Party. We need her grass-roots, real Old Labour (as it used to be) outlook and her down-to-earth wisdom and expertise. I think she has much more to offer that the three men who are (let's face it) the white male faces of New Labour and do not represent the original Labour values and ethos.

I would be interested in other people's views on this.
