Describe yourself, briefly

I am a very politically active 73yr old women. The mother of six daughters,three step-children & fifteen grandchildren & a great -grandson,
I trained as a Social Worker as a mature student, supported a disabled husband became a widow when my second husban died 10yrs ago.

What do you do, mostly?

I am the Woman's Officer of Southamptom Labour Party where we have a monthly ,& additional weekly meetings of approx a dozen inter-generational women. . We have designed & made a banner, & as Southampton Women against the Cuts, (SWACs)we have been v active in campaigning against the cuts backswith the Unions, as well as attending campaigns in support of our MPs & Councelors. by dressing up as Cleaners, Nurses,, Bankers, Police Women -we also stuff envelopes & do fund raising . activities & last year produced a Calender which raised £500 for party funds. we sometimes have social events & garage sales, etc..
I am also on the Commitee of the Pensioers Forum, the W.E,A.. & the National Trust

What matters most in the world?

People., The Planet & .the whole community .
Peace & the pursuit of happiness for everyone.

If you were Prime Minister what would you do?

I would attempt to create a more equal society.
redistribute wealth & enable every person to develope their potential .Creating equality of opportunity for all people in this country & throughout the World.

What does Soft Power say to you?

Does this mean Women's Power?
If so there is still much to be achieved in developing feminism
in our Society- equal rights, pay, etc in all walks of life

See above!6 daughters,1stepdaughter, 2 stepsons.
