What does Soft Power say to you?
I really don't like this term. Like it or not it has negative connotations. Soft = weak = not powerful. How about 'compassionate power' or 'cooperative power' or 'approachable power'. Using 'soft power' in relation to female empowerment also reinforces stereotypical notions of femininity (soft, cuddly, pink, innocent, non-threatening, simple, easy). Please - isn't there a different term that can be adopted?
