Event Description

A New Kind of LEadership
presents a one-day conference

A NEW KIND OF POLITICS
What new behaviour is needed nationally, locally and personally if the new coalition arrangements are to work?

Why attend the conference?

The new coalition government offers an opportunity to develop a new kind of politics in this country. It will require a major break from the past – old attitudes and old behaviours. They will need to be replaced by something very new.

This event will give you the opportunity to do some high quality, innovative thinking about what changes are needed at a national level, at a local level as well as personally, if we are to overcome the ongoing challenges of improving our society for everyone’s sake.

- How do we make ‘Fairness, Freedom and Responsibility’ a reality at a national, local and personal level?
- What can we as individuals do?
- How can more women be encouraged to participate in politics?
- What difference would their presence make?

Speakers include: Anna Coote (New Economics Foundation and co-author of 21 Hours), Rob Williams (Fatherhood Institute), Indra Adnan (The Downing Street Project)

Hey Kris - Good to hear from you. No plans to video the speakers at this minute - but will see if we can step up. Have fun with the nephew - that's like going straight to the end result of our discussion without the chat! Catch up soon?

Hi Indra, I was so excited to read about this conference - but sadly it is on my little nephews birthday and (as the one with the driving licence) I am the team chauffeur for his birthday day out so I cannot attend... I really hope you can post video of the speakers after the event... Kris
